Campaigns, movements & advocacy
The entire technology operation for a statewide campaign.
Website, donations, CRM, email/SMS, merch, and events, plus deep data: voter-file matching and a 35-million-row intelligence system.
A statewide campaign needed a technology team, not a list of vendors. Its supporter universe was fragmented across four or five platforms: email tools, a CRM, even a phone's exported contacts as a PDF. It needed everything a modern campaign runs on: a website, donations, CRM, email and SMS, merchandise, events, and the data underneath all of it, moving fast and in sync.
We ran the whole campaign technology operation. On the operational side: the campaign website and hosting; donation-platform integration and transaction monitoring; CRM and email-platform integration with list segmentation; SMS and peer-to-peer texting deployment; a merchandise store; event and calendar operations; supporter and volunteer data hygiene; and standing rapid-response support through the cycle. On the data side, two deep workstreams: consolidating four-plus sources into one deduplicated, enriched contact universe (~10,648 records, including OCR extraction from a 64 MB contacts PDF) and building dialer and mail lists from a voter-file export; and a state-scale political-intelligence system: a campaign-finance pipeline loading the state ethics commission’s bulk data into PostgreSQL (35.4 million contribution rows, 5.2 million expenditures, 20,744 filers), PAC and donor network analysis rendered to an interactive D3 web app, and a statistical incumbent-vulnerability model backtested across three cycles for forward targeting.
- The campaign ran its entire technology operation through one accountable team, not a dozen vendors stitched together: website, donations, CRM, email/SMS, merch, events, and rapid response.
- Its fragmented supporter universe became one deduplicated, enriched, voter-file-matched contact system it could actually act on.
- We built and left behind a state-scale political-intelligence capability: a 35.4-million-row finance database, donor-network analysis, and a targeting model rigorous enough to backtest with a 31-point discrimination gap between vulnerable and safe incumbents.
- The data and systems outlast the race: reusable intelligence and clean, matched data assets rather than throwaway campaign tooling.
